3rd friend deploying to Afghanistan this week

I have a friend whose husband is flying Blackhawks in Afghanistan. Another friend's husband is being deployed a second time. He is a surgeon on a FAST team. I believe FAST teams are relatively new and they are attached to Special Ops. and go into the field.

Our closest friend and one of my wife's co-workers just got called up last week and is to deploy immediately to Afghanistan. He is a medic and based on what he said, will also be assigned to a FAST team. It sucks. He was due to be married in May in the Carribean, so now they are getting married today and I think he deploys tomorrow.

Sounds like the push is imminent...

1. Interesting about the Push

I think they are talking about it publicly because they are trying to get OBL to move and thereby reveal his location. If that doesn't work, I am sure they will try the Push.

3. Agreed. I also think

it is finally happening because we have enough dirt on Musharraf that he finally has to actually do something substantive. This way only 50% of the casualties come from us. In theory anyway. On second thought, having a partner in war never stopped this administration.

I guess I am just as confused as everyone else.
