Doggy deodorant.
If somebody hasn't invented this yet, they need to. Some sort of Febreze-like stuff that I can spray on my dog occasionally. He stinks. I know, just give him a bath, but he doesn't like it and it's a giant PITA. If we gave him a bath as soon as he started stinking, we'd be bathing him every few days.

I just hope the whole house doesn't reek of dog. It probably does and I'm just acclimated to it. But I don't want to burn scented candles or spray a bunch of chemicals in the air with a kid in utero. So I guess the house is just going to have to smell like Spooner for now. Can you smell it from over there?

2. I should mention
that I've had pregnancy-induced nasal stuffiness since last summer, so it's probably even worse than I think. :)

3. They Have It
They sell an apricot-scented spray deodorant for dogs at PetsMart. It changes the wet-dog smell to an apricot-scented wet-dog smell.

:-)

4. They DO have doggie deoderant -
You should be able to find it at any petstore.

Also FYI - if you brush him a lot the "dog" stink will disappear.

Someone told me that when I got my puppy, and I don't think I've ever noticed him smell like "dog" - but I also bathe him semi-regularly

6. Try baby wipes
There are special "baby wipe" style cloths to de-stink dogs. Very useful and the dog is sometimes fooled that I'm only petting him.
