The Danes just kicked our asses in crew.
I love the Olympics, I love how every two years (summer and winter games) the nations of the world come together in one city to engage in hundreds of sporting events.

Go USA! :patriot:

2. I love watching
the rowing teams. If you've ever rowed, you'd know the incredible stamina it takes to row in the Olympics.

6. I was watching yesterday
and the announcers said about one of the rowers from Great Britain had the highest lung capacity ever recorded at some sport academy in England...they said it essentially dwarfed Lance Armstrong's.

:wow:

10. Peter Reed - 11.68 litres!
Pete recently posted the largest recorded lung capacity at 11.68 litres and is continuing his training to represent Great Britain in the coxless four at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

http://www.petereed.co.uk/index.php/Biography/

Wikipedia attributes that to "English Institute of Sport, 17th November 2006, test ID 27781".

Compare that to:

Indurain's lung capacity was eight litres, compared to an average of six litres.
