2. I miss Olympic Greek Ice something fierce
I could only find it at this one stall at Six Flags Over Texas. A little paper cup filled with this sherbet that came in blue, orange, and yellow swirls and it was oh-so-yummy. But that booth shut down a long time ago, and if I can find a place that sells traditional Italian sherbet, it's cool, but it's not quite the same as Olympic Greek Ice.

74. Oh hell yeah
Lemon italian ice, not Rita's crap, the stuff from the mafia/bookie/italian ice place 2 blocks from my house (been in business for at least 20 years). Hours of operation at the store itself are completely bizarre and follow NO pattern, but the two carts are out and about the east end daily. I always splurge and get the absolute biggest container possible, and am happy to suffer through the ice cream headache for their deliciousness.

22. Agree on the fudgesicles.....have some in the freezer right now.
I actually prefer the Safeway brand much more than Blue Bunny's. Oh, and my all time favorite I don't think they even make them anymore....2 big chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle and the rim of ice cream in the sandwich was coated with itty bitty chocolate chips....yummy.

I also love banana popsicles and they have some new melon ones I like - watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe.

91. ohhh, the Dreamsicle. Loved those things. I never liked the fruity icy ones
except banana. They froze so hard they were difficult to bite.

When I was a kid I HATED the chocolate coated ice cream because it was so damn messy. As an adult I learned to like them and now like DOVE bars with dark chocolate...but don't eat them anymore due to preferring to spend my WW Daily Points on more substantial things like steak or Italian food

60. Absolutely they make those!
Hershey's Ice Cream (not affiliated with Hershey Chocolate--says so right on the label) makes them. They're only sold in gas stations, and I don't know why, but those are the SHIT, man! They come in a little dixie cup thing with a perfed hole in the bottom...take off the lid and shove on the hole, and out comes the treat.

It's different flavors of ice cream kinda wrapped up into a little ball with flavored mochi skins, which i think is some sort of sweet rice concoction.

Right now my favorite flavor is cappucino chip wrapped in chocolate mochi.

a couple of weeks ago. We didn't get ice cream, though. Have to try that. :hi:

76. Yeah?
I'll have to try that. I'm not wild about soy milk; but maybe frozen soy would be more appealing.

77. I haven't had (cow's milk) ice cream in years
but the Soy Delicious really does the trick for me.

FWIW, I don't like soy milk either. Most are far too sweet for my liking.

78. That's exactly why
I don't care for soy milk...
It's too sweet and syrupy.

90. Try Silk Vanilla Soy with Fiber Added. MUCH less sweet and the fiber is of course
healthy ...those of us in Weight Watchers went crazy over the 1 point per cup milk!!!

Even totally fat free cows milk is 2 points per cup.

96. Thanks, I'll look for it
The regular Silk got changed a few years ago to something too sweet for my liking; but perhaps the added fibre may have toned it down.

97. I don't know what they did but it is definitely not as sweet as the regular Vanilla Silk
I use it for smoothies a lot, and on cold cereal.

Only comes in half gallons though, I do wish it came in quarts because I don't always use it up fast enough

80. Fudgesicles are the only frozen novelty I buy at the store.

Every once in a while when the ice cream truck comes by, I get one of those orange push-ups. Though I try not to do that, since then they actually return to my neighborhood and play "Pop Goes the Weasel" ad nauseum. But I have been tempted once or twice to give in. I'm weak.

on edit: clarity

94. When I went to summer camp, which I did for six years, we would go to the camp store, after dinner,
And I got either a creamsicle or a fudgicle. They cost 10 cents, at the time, which gives you a clue about my age... *sigh* :hi:

Foster's had a frozen banana on a stick covered with dark chocolate.
Just great.
They were the only thing I miss about living there.

Now, I really like Edy's Frozen Fruit Strawberry popsicles, made with strawberry juice and big pieces of fruit. They also make them in other fruits and flavore, including Coconut.

92. OMG totally forgot PALETAS!!!! OMG I love these things, esp the coconut ones
The Paleta handcart is a fixture in any Latin American neighborhood, and now you can buy them in the grocery too. Er I should say the normal mainstream grocery. The mom and pop Taquerias around here have always carried them and the Mexican markets too.

Those little green handcarts used to hover around the soccer field two blocks from my last house and roam about a 3 block area around that field.

Forget the ice cream truck, our kids wanted the Paletas!

used to which is odd since all other food has gotten much larger.
