Cognitive Dissonance on CA82

As I was driving home tonight, I noticed another car on the road - a 70s Caddy in such bad shape it made my banged up 18-year old car look sharp. Driving the car was an older man, who had plastered the back of his beater with Bush/Cheney bumperstickers, and one that read "Oppose Socialism - Vote Republican." Somehow, this man with his barely running, falling apart car thought that Republicans care about him. More likely, he doesn't realize he's a loser and thinks that any day now, he'll be rich, too.

When he was next to me at a stoplight, I was tempted to ask him if he had refused his Social Security in his fight against socialism, but I didn't have the heart.

here in the bay area -- oh and one hummer with send all liberals to afghanistan.
the one thing all those drivers have in common is not realizing they are tools. replaceable tools -- bought cheap.
