It looks like I'm going to have a date on Saturday

It's official: Hell has frozen over. It will be my first date in 13 years. I feel a little weird about all of this. There is a small part of me that is still screaming in protest. I was supposed to have relegated myself to a life of solitude due to an unfortunate chemical imbalance in my brain. I've already told her about that. She revealed something very personal and I, in turn, did the same thing. Everybody is okay with everything, except for that little protesting part of me.

We haven't met in person yet. We met on a dating website. But I've talked to her several times on the phone and I have become more comfortable with her. Hopefully that easy feeling will translate over into our date.

4. I once decided to stop dating altogether...but it seems that Fate had a different plan for me.

I think I went about 3 1/2 years alone, and I wasn't looking to stop,
when I bumped into my Sweetie by random chance.
That will be nine years ago, come this Friday around 10:00 PM.

And thanks for reminding me of that- I really need to get my butt in gear
on the "anniversary present" front!
