St. Augustine wasn't a big fan of the whole lusting thing and considered the emotions involved in lust to be as damaging as the fornication in which it could result.

The stoics were also not into lusting, in that attaching to much stake in the presence of another person is a poor way to maintain constancy.

Perhaps you should break up with this person in order to pursue a more virtuous path. Let him/her know that seeing them makes you a worse person and thus you seek to avoid future interaction with them.

They should praise your forthright manners ;-)
