2. It depends
how late?

Does the friend have a history of being late or disappearing?

You sound worried.

4. Very relible friend and did not come home from work.
Her sister actually called me and wanted to know if I had heard from her. She got off around 3 but might have had to stay late. (teacher)

3. I doubt the hospital would give you any info when you
ask "is so and so is a patient at your hospital?" Due to HIPAA privacy rules the patient must sign a form giving the hospital permission to release his/her name to anyone.

6. Does she have a cell phone?
Is there anybody at the school you can contact?

I know the anxiety you must be feeling. I lived with it as a child and every once in a while still have nightmares.

I'll help in any way I can

7. Would the Police...
Tell you about accidents? Would they tell the sister?

It may be hard getting the hospital to release information to you (Privacy Regulations) but they may to the sister.

8. Just call and ask
the operator for patient 'john doe'. if shes not there they will say so. i called a half dozen hospitals in az. last week looking for my niece. got a direct hit on #6, and they put me through. otherwise, try the cops.
