The answer:

That's about a point-blank track directly over the Richardo's Lone Star Estate. Thankfully we're about 80 miles inland from Galveston.

3. We will get rain though
We'll be on the rainy side of the storm for a change if it goes south of I-10.

4. We need rain
My friends that live in Katy and Spring aren't even planning on folding their umbrellas on their picnic tables.

2. Oh, dear.
They said it might still weaken, though. Batten down the hatches, mister.

5. Have you ever read _Isaac's Storm_?
(have we talked about this before?) Great book about the Galveston hurricane.

Galveston, oh Galveston! :scared:

6. One of my favorite books ever.
It's still the deadliest natural disaster in US history - killed 6,000-10,000 people.

:hi: Bertha!

7. Speaking of disaster history, have you read _The Johnstown Flood_, by
David McCullough? I love the way that guy writes history. Reads so, so well. And an excellent history of an event I'd never heard of until I decided to read all of McCullough's books.

8. No, but I love his history as well...
I've read '1776' and 'The Path Between the Seas' (about the building of the Panama Canal)

9. can has slight pull to the NorthEast about Wednesday, please?
It LOOKS like the DFW area will catch the edges of it between 2 pm Tues and 2 am Thurs...but if it curves just a little bit sometime Tuesday, we might get more, which we desperately need!!!

Entering 10th or 15th day of 100 + degrees, although we did get some rain Wed and Fri last week.
