Last night's dream: Shrub in pink prom dress
It was a somber occasion, though: one of his daughters had died, and to her funeral he wore the prom dress she would have worn just the following week. He walked down the aisle holding hands with his other daughter and with Laura.

In the dream, I thought, "It's not nice to laugh. His daughter's dead, and this is a nice gesture."
Now, though?

1. At least it sounds like a fairly coherent dream
has anyone else ever had those dreams where people from all different parts of your life get mixed in together? Unfortunately no presidents have thought my dreams important enough to visit.

2. Oh, yeah. Frequently.
They're hard to retell. Can't tell the players without a scorecard . . . .

3. Dreams are so interesting
especially ones that are universal to a group of people. I wrestled for 18 years. Everyone I know who wrestled for any length of time had a "I didn't make weight" dream.

Worse than that is when you are the night before a weigh-in and have a dream about drinking and eating a lot. Because then you wake up and want to make sure you didn't sleep walk into the kitchen and drink or eat something.

4. Had a strange one last night, too
Admittedly, it's no 'Preznit Prom-Dress,' but I woke up with an uneasy feeling that lingered for a while.

The dream was fairly simple: a friend was behaving in a way that was so unlike her... it was upsetting in the dream, and the memory of it was unpleasant after waking.
