ThomCat and Rainbows.....
I dropped ThomCat off at the train station this evening after a wonderful weekend visit. :bounce:

On the way there, we saw two rainbows, the second one being a complete arch with a double on one side. It was beautiful. :loveya:

We had a mini meetup last night with Rhiannon12866, nuxvomica and LoveMyCali. Also, former DUer Distressed American's wife joined us.

My dog Egypt basically spent the entire weekend trying to get as much attention as possible, and Thom was more than happy to accept the mission.

Pics will come tomorrow - I am too tired right now.

:hi:

2. we had a great time!
He is so sweet.

Today we had a few minutes of sunshine where we actually got to sit out on the deck and enjoy the woods before the rains came again. Then we had a delicious lunch that Mr MB cooked for us and we all took naps :D

5. Two days of thunderstorms have damned near killed me.
I'm amazed that people enjoyed my company. I was sluring my speech, and rocking constantly, and shaking and trembling, and forgetting what I was saying, and basically having all the horrible side effects of heavy pain and heavy meds. But everyone was very kind and ignored the worst of it and we had a had great food and great conversations and a great time.

I had the most wonderful little rat terrier in my lap and in my arms most of the weekend. Egypt is such a sweet and affectionate dog. :loveya:

I really have to say that Malta Blue has a whole lot more depth and charm in person than what she show us on-line. I knew she was a really good person, but I had no idea.

Her husband is really charming too, and he cook! :)

23. It was wonderful meeting you, my friend!
And you were great; everybody enjoyed your company immensely. You're smart, humorous and were a damn good sport no matter how you were feeling. And it should tell you something that I returned the next day, LOL. nuxvomica now regrets that he didn't come with me, wanted to talk more with you, but he missed his chance and mb, Egypt and I had you all to ourselves...:D

Glad to know that you made it home safely and that you had as nice a time as the rest of us did...:hi:

24. Hi Rhiannon!
:hi:

Thank you very much!

It wasn't a bad trip. I now know to bring a small pillow with me on the train though. :)

I will definitely be back. It's not a bad trip to get there to visit.

You're more than welcome! It was an exceptional weekend. I'm so glad that you had a successful train trip. I was concerned because of the weather, but then I learned about the rainbows, what an amazing end to your weekend here...:D

And I'm definitely on board for doing this again and know that the others are, too...:hi:

6. Me too.
I think I look goofy in them, but keep in mind that we had thunderstorms almost constantly while I was here. I was medicated up to my gills. :P

7. Those rainbows were incredible!
If I had to deal with that much rain and thunder and lightning, it was really nice to see something that beautiful afterward. :)

I am totally amazed that I could be in that much pain and still have such a wonderful weekend. That says some really wonderful things about you and your husband as hosts, and about Rhiannon, LoveMyCali, Nuxvomica and MrsDistriessedAmerican.

Thank you so much for this weekend.

10. Good morning, my friend and thank you!
I also had a wonderful time, and this weekend, spent among friends, was a welcome distraction from time by myself, which I've been doing too much of...:-(

Of course I enjoyed spending time with my dearest friends, nuxvomica and LoveMyCali, but it was so great to make some new ones, yourself and ThomCat. The DUers I have met in person have been the best and most amazing people and both of you are at the top of my list...:pals:

On my way home yesterday, I didn't see any rainbows; they may have been there, but I was too busy looking for landmarks to notice, LOL. BTW, I didn't get lost, not once!:wow:

As for me, I'm dreading the pix, LOL, but those I took yesterday of you and ThomCat came out well. :-)

Thank you again, my friend. Your meet-up was awesome.:applause:

I've never seen a double rainbow before. It was wonderful!

After 2 days of thunderstorms and rain, it was a nice to see such an awesome sign that the rain was over for a while.
