My Mom is a big fan of red wine, with no particular favorite.

My Dad likes drinking Busch lite.

on edit: I wanted to know what alcohol they drink!!!

1. Well...
Mom: Beer. Bud Light.

Stepfather: Beer. Assorted ales, all drank at room temperature. I'm trying to get him to try Newcastle.

Bio-Dad: Crystal Light now, previously Miller Lite. (He's a friend of Bill.)

18. Dad only drinks beer, and that rarely.
Mom... well, she was in recovery and didn't drink at all for years. Now she has the occasional glass of wine or a beer and stops there. I know that wouldn't work for a lot of people, and I was worried at first, but she had a life that was as defined by not drinking as it used to be defined by drinking, and I think being able to have an occasional social drink and stop there is a really healthy thing for her.

30. She did for years.
Edited on Mon Aug-04-08 02:15 AM by LeftyMom
She was obsessed with it. It was the central aspect of her life- she hosted a book study, had five sponsees at one point, ran meetings in the local jail, did volunteer training, the hotline phone rang to our house, etc. She relapsed anyhow.

She seems healthier without it. Being obsessed with and defined by being clean and sober didn't seem to be any less life dominating than using was.

22. Mom likes Bombay Sapphire
and a good creme de menthe.

My dad, to be honest, I don't know. I remember his drink cart. Drambuie, good scotch and fine whiskey, but I never really got to learn my father's drink of choice.

That's a question for the weekend.
