DU or Free Republic? Just curious. Any educated guesses?

Of course I don't know if that's a tally of total visits, unique visitors, or page downloads.

its an older and larger forum.

Some site that does web tracking data has them ranked higher.

5. Drudge used to promote Free Republic
I think the reason Free Republic has so many members is that Drudge used to promote it on his web site. Also, Free Republic hosted a high profile dinner for the House Managers (the nincompoops who tried to force Clinton from office), and that probably won them some more members. Let's face it, if you're racist, homophobic, sexist, or greedy, FreeRepublic is the place to be. DU could surpass FR if DU found a way to get some publicity.
