Just finished a "Sleep Lab" at the hospital, ask me anything

4. 5 hours and then 1.5 hours

With an hour of tossing and turning from 3:00 - 4:30 a.m.

2. Did you try to sleep in your underwear?

My husband used to do sleep studies and he told me there were so many guys who wanted to sleep nude or in their undies and he'd have to explain that it was policy to wear pajamas. The thing is that even really big guys (lots of people 300+ pounds who get sleep studies) and obviously there's no privacy, so I thought it was a bit funky.

5. I slept in my boxer briefs

But yes there were three infared "casino cameras" popping out of the ceiling. Very disconcerting.

Actually, I almost *did* get paid for sleeping this afternoon. Stupid cold meds.

6. My two nights doing a sleep study

...(initial and follow-up) were the two worst nights of sleep in my life! It was awful! No wonder they called me breathlessly to tell me to go pick up my CPAP machine NOW!!!!!!!!

But then I got stupid and turned it in because the insurance company was being difficult about paying for the rental. I should have just bought the damn thing! I miss it like crazy now! In fact, I tried to buy one on E-Bay yesterday, but got outbid.

A small outpatient procedure called 'Cautery Assisted Uvulopalatoplasty" or CAUP may cure you're sleep/snoring problems. See your ENT. I had it done by someone I trusted very, very much,,,and it worked! It saved my marriage, too, though the wife's too kind to complain much.
