Drunk Men Fire Handgun At Bowling Ball - Ricochet - Eye Injury - Lawsuit
<snip>

A man hit in the eye by a ricochet bullet fired at a bowling ball has filed suit in Rock County Court.

At the time, the bowling ball was perched on the roof of a junk car at Seward Auto Salvage, 2506 E. Vincent Road, Milton, according to the lawsuit.

Scott Pardee, 30, of Hingham was watching Ray Seward and Michael Koch shoot a handgun at the bowling ball. Pardee was 15 to 20 feet behind the men when a bullet fired by Koch ricocheted into Pardee's right eye, according to the lawsuit.

Seward and Koch were drinking while shooting, according to the lawsuit.

4. Comparative Fault
The guy will get nothing but three years of stress for his injury. Probably about what he is entitled to.

This is the great thing about our court system. Silly cases like this get a day before a jury. If we were less civilized this would probably have been settled with the gun.

6. If he was hanging and participating in drunken gun play
He gets little pity from me.

If however he was unaware his drinking pal was about to draw and fire at the ball, then it is a different story.

I carpooled to work with a guy for a year and never knew he was a gun owner till he whipped it out and fired it at a deer standing in the ditch.

8. These Are More Examples....
...of the "law-abiding citizen gun owners" that the pro-gunners down in Justice/Public Safety keep telling us that we don't have to worry about.
