I just stuck my foot into a fan

I spun around in the bed to turn off an alarm clock and stuck my foot into the fan next to the bed. At first I thought I might have broken 2 toes but now I think they are just bruised and sore as hell.

How can that happen you may ask? - I removed the protective grid from the fan a couple of weeks ago in order to clean it and never got around to putting it back on. Now I wish I'd taken a few minutes to do so. My wife thinks it's funny.
