Bloodbath ensues at HEyHEY's apartment O' Geneocide
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 10:36 AM by HEyHEY
Turning me into a homicidal maniac. I got two of the little bastards last night...you can't find a live trap in this town...so I am killing them. I hope the three dead are it so far.

But I don't think so.....

3. thanks
I left this morning's kill in the trap in an attempt to ward off any others.

These traps going off in the middle of the night are disturbing my sleep too much!

If I get it I'm leaving town and mice behind. Plus what can he do? They're in my apartment.

5. Yeah, but shouldn't he take pest control responsibilities?
I had bugs in my apartment, and when I told the management, they sprayed.

6. What you need is a cat.
Nothing keeps the vermin away like one or two good mousers.

12. LOL! Today's cats don't "do" mice... they have KALCAN.....
ALl you can do is the glue traps or the really cool enclosed snap traps so you don't have to see their lil corpses...

I usually get one mouse or rat per year.

I always feel HORRIBLE eliminating them, but it's us against them and I am the superior mammal.

7. Get a cat
That's what they're for. (Assuming we're talking about mice or rats here.)

17. Yeah, I keep getting that too.
Probably a temporary glitch. Just use your scrool, instead of clicking on a particular reply. Elad is probably on it.

15. How are they gettin' in?
You might want to tackle it from that end, too. I know we had mice squeezing thru the most unlikely places. We had to put shields around the pipes under all the sinks, for example.

20. I invented a "silent" trap many years ago
.
.
.

Just a homemade deal after my traps were getting "robbed"

and it worked great !~

here's the "design"

All you need is an old juice can, the 48 ounce size and tinfoil

Cut the top completely off and half fill the can with water, mazola oil, any liquid - I used old engine oil once, don't ask me why -

spread a wee bit of peanut butter on a thin strip of tinfoil

place the tinfoil over the top of the "can-trap" with the wee glob of peanut butter in the middle so that the mouse has to put his weight on the tinfoil to get the peanut butter

The tinfoil should just barely be wrapped over the edge to hold itself there, loose enuf to allow the mouse's weight to release it into the liquid

Mice can't scream or swim, so all you find in the morning is a drowned mouse -

a quick dump in the toilet and he's gone !

I know you probably figured this part out, but you have to place something like books or whatever around the can so the mouse can get to it

And as mentioned b4 elsewhere, the Department of Health would certainly take an interest, I suspect that yours is not the ONLY apartment suffering from these illegal pets!

And your war goes on . . .
