Last night I was in the ER.
Thought I was having an MI, turned out to be some really significant neuralgia which they gave me pain killers for.

Anyway, the point of this post is that in the bed next to me was this little old man who was having a very erractic heartbeat and his wife, who was probably about 90 was hard of hearing.

She was trying to call her family to let them know, but she was holding the cell phoone at her cheek, not her mouth, so no one could hear her. Everyone in the entire hospital could hear her, though.

I felt like I was in a Verizon commercial. TM and the cleaning lady and I were in absolute hysterics. Finally, a nurse came in and told her that she couldn't use her cellphone; that it was blocked because of machines, (like the ones her husband was hooked up to, LOL) and they let her use the landline.

That's an entirely different post.

2. No. Just the run of the mill kind.
My back started hurting about 11:30 yesterday morning and got significantly worse until my neck and left arm were hurting.

Since women present differently, and since Mr. had no symptoms at all when he had his surgery, I decided to be safe than sorry.

Plus, it's possible to talk yourself into any symptom you know of in that kind of situation.

37. No, thank God. Because just after that law was ruled to be
unconstitutional, I got my first speeding ticket ever. $268 bucks to the county of Henrico because I didn't want to sit through traffic school.

God, that sucked. Been driving for over 30 years and never, ever pulled over by the police. Not once.

It was that damned show choir that did it.

I was racing to get to a competition because one of the choirs was late and they were going on early.

So, it's all TM's fault. :grr:

the doc called interchostal neuralgia, basically pain around the rib cage. At least the lady next to you kept you entertained.

22. Trigeminal neuralgia can literally drive you crazy.
It affects the Trigeminal nerve that runs across the face. It's one of the most painful conditions there is and can hang around to drive you insane for a year or so. My BIL had it, had to take medication for it that occasionally made him pass out.

40. oh any neuralgia is horrible. It is nerve pain but the trigeminal has to be the
worst. TMJ is an orthopedic condition that compresses that same nerve ..no fun

Actually, it was the hospital's cleaning person. The cup of iced tea that TM bought me exploded all over the floor of the room and when she saw TM trying to clean it up with tissues, she came in. Really funny person.

43. LOL. I am.
But, you will appreciate this. My left arm, where they had the blood pressure cuff on, (the autmoated one) has a bruise about 1 inch wide that goes all the way around my bicep like a tattoo.

I kept telling the nurse it was too tight, but she said 'it needs to be to get an accurate reading'. :wtf: I asked her if maybe the problem was that the cuff was the size of one you'd use on Michael Clarke Duncan.
