Bid Sales at Government Sites
Every so often, the depot I work on has bid sales to get rid of used stuff. Like, for example:

Lawn Mower, Riding, John Deere, 15 HP, 2 Cylinder, 4 Cycle, 12 V, 48" Blade Deck

Not bad, until you look at the comments:

Uses oil, engine bad, deck bent, bent valve, steering arm bent

Basically, they are auctioning off a riding lawn mower that they wrecked and didn't feel like repairing. Oh, and about seven computers without hard drives. And about ten non-functioning printers. But the hydrogen generator works! It just needs a control board.

2. It's not on the list
You have to submit closed bids; I wouldn't waste my money. I'd go for one of the broken printers.
