since it's an editorial read by a great deal of people, I do feel some obligation to write back, but it's so over the top and self-satirical that I don't know where to start! how do you respond to idiocy without sounding like an idiot yourself?

I think a 20 word or less letter (postcard?) would work best, something like blisteringly sarcastic without being too nasty, something that makes people both chuckle and think.

McDonald’s also has its logo featured prominently on the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce web site alongside other corporate sponsors, including Avis, Morgan Stanley, Merck, Intuit, and Cisco Systems.

A good place to start would be by not publishing tripe like this on the Web, where it undoubtedly passes through far too many gay-friendly Cisco servers to suit Mr. Caravan's neanderthal tastes.
