I've got this squirrel problem...

it involves hickory nuts and my car's hood.

It looks like I was in a hail storm. I have complete coverage on my insurance.

Will insurance pay for me to get the dents pulled out and a paint job?

1. Not sure about auto insurance,

but homeowner's insurance usually has a higher deductible for "wind or hail damage". Since the wind caused the hickory nuts to damage your car...that gives them an excuse to have a higher deductible.

Look at the fine print of your auto insurance. Of course you could ask your insurance...but likely he/she will give you a slanted answer. Good luck.

2. I think you should sue the squirrels!

But you probably want a serious answer. Are the squirrels dropping the nuts on your car? That's what happens with acorns at my sis' house. They've hit me in the head with those suckers.

But anyway, not sure if squirrels dropping nuts on your car would fall under the 'act of nature' clause like hail and wind damage. If you have comprehensive, hopefully it will be covered. Sorry to hear they damaged your car that bad. That sucks....
