:banghead::banghead:

Certain people think it is absolute comedy to start singing it once they hear what my name is.

SO sick of it since what, 1982-3? A quarter century of hell; made me refuse to use that form of nickname to this day. I'm with ya, KW. ;)

34. Yeah, sure...
But since I'm so sick of the song, when I use the long form of my name, people seem to want to spell it with one "n" and two "f"s. Go figure.

15. Alice, where are you going?
Upstairs, to take a bath.

Alice, with legs like toothpicks
And a neck like a gi-raf-raf-raf-raf-raffe

Alice turned on the water
Alice pulled out the plug

Oh, my goodness! Oh, my soul!
There goes Alice down the hole!

I think he liked ABBA because he had two older sisters -- and then there was some other band... oh what was their name... Huey Lewis and the News?

44. My ex-husband's name was just two letters off from RAINBOW...
I wss Ellen Rainbow on the radio in Florida. Kept his name, slightly altered, because my two children had his name.

I just found three newspaper clippings mentioning the fact that I had replaced Larry King temporarily, and then one night he said the attack dogs came out and he was on my side "Must have been the moon". Larry was a tough act to follow. Then, he announced I was hired in Boston and one of the guys they were auditioning ended up in PR. Frank Meyers, where are you now?

I don't even know who replaced me after I left WIOD in early May 1972.

What kind of a name is that?

Difficult name: One of the women in the salon is named LOAN LE. She doesn't use that name. It's pronounced LOW-ANN LEE... lonely!

Tough when your name is beautiful in another language, but not so nice in English.

That came out in '78

The only song that I can think of from that time period that would fit the bill is.....

Ohhhhhh, ohhhhhh, I think I got it, and it's a real earworm, to boot!

You thought I was going to tell you which song it is? Hell no, I will not tell out of respect for KitchenWitch's privacy.

30. This one, right?
Raven hair and ruby lips
Sparks fly from her finger tips
Echoed voices in the night
She’s a restless spirit on an endless flight
Wooo hooo witchy woman, see how
High she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman she got
The moon in her eye
She held me spellbound in the night
Dancing shadows and firelight
Crazy laughter in another
Room and she drove herself to madness
With a silver spoon
Woo hoo witchy woman see how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman she got the moon in her eye
Well I know you want a lover,
Let me tell your brother, she’s been sleeping
In the devil’s bed.
And there’s some rumors going round
Someone’s underground
She can rock you in the nighttime
’til your skin turns red
Woo hoo witchy woman
See how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman
She got the moon in her eye

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Eo_-QjhcsU

When I look out my window,
So many sights to see.
And when I look in my window,
So many different people to be.
That it's strange, so strange.
You've got to pick up every stitch,
You've got to pick up every stitch,
You've got to pick up every stitch.
Mm, must be the season of the witch,
Must be the season of the witch, yeah,
Must be the season of the witch.

When I look over my shoulder,
What do you think I see ?
Some other cat looking over
His shoulder at me.
And he's strange, sure he's strange.
You've got to pick up every stitch,
You've got to pick up every stitch,
Beatnicks are out to make it rich,
Oh no, must be the season of the witch,
Must be the season of the witch, yeah,
Must be the season of the witch.

You've got to pick up every stich,
The rabbits running in the ditch,
Beatnicks are out to make it rich,
Oh no, must be the season of the witch,
Must be the season of the witch,
Must be the season of the witch.

When I look, when I look out my window,
What do you think I see ?
And when I look in my window,
So many different people to be.
It's strange, sure it's strange.
You've got to pick up every stitch,
You've got to pick up every stitch,
The rabbits are running in the ditch,
Oh no, must be the season of the witch,
Must be the season of the witch, yeah,
Must be the season of the witch.
When I look, when I look...

42. My parents almost changed my name to Jane.
Well, they'd planned to call me Janey, but it wasn't in reference to my firearm carrying potential (I actually don't think that song's old enough to be the origin!)

My father named me after his favorite drug. (My sister's name is Tina, which I found out is also a name for that particular substance.) My mother's middle name is Gail. So they decided to give me Mom's middle name.

Then they started getting asked by EVERYone who heard my name "So you like country music, eh?"

My parents were naturally offended. They were rock and roll fans, dangit! They detested country music. And then Jefferson Starship put out the album with "Jane" on it, very close to the day I was born.

They spent about two weeks trying to decide if they actually would change my name. They'd decided on Janey Elizabeth, with Elizabeth being a name on both sides of the family. But they then decided it would be too much hassle to change my name and they'd just deal with it.

And no, I'm not playing a game, damnit!
