Does the sound of the mouse click bother you?
It does me! After hours and hours of hearing my mouse click, sometimes it feels like that drip of water that drills a hole through rock over time.

Next time I need a mouse I'm going to look for a silent one. I don't need auditory confirmation every time I click on something. I can tell by what happens on the screen!

It sounds so loud when I try to be quiet at night.

3. my scroll is silent.
the click drives me nuts.

the keyboard is too loud too.

to think, there is extra cost in the design of things to make them make a noise. who wants it?

2. Try working in a call center.
Our phones are equipped with this "beep" that can be heard every 20 seconds or so, to signify that the call is being recorded. Drives some of my customers completely batty; I just have to cope with it for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. You do tune it out eventually and I swear it has got quieter over the years (probably because the batterys going flat!).

Mark.

5. I like the click.
When I'm using a computer with a "click-less" mouse, I feel cheated somehow. Where's my click!?

6. Don't use your mouse so much.
I'd rather feel and hear the click so that I know it's working. What I hate is those damned touchpads on a laptop.
