Here's a pic from the last gig I played in with my old band "Cold Blue".

3. Thanks!
Nothing better than playing for people. When the crowd gets going to what your playing, just can't beat that!

4. Great thing about the Blues is...
It's real easy to gauge the tune against how the crowd is reacting to it. It's usually pretty easy to stretch or cut depending on the crowd. And thanks, I'm really looking forward to it. Should be a blast!

Good luck! :toast:

I'd rather be there than sweltering in my house (can't sit on the deck because the mosquitos scream "buffet" when I approach and for some reason, the bug spray is not helping this year)....

edit: typo

7. have fun, i know you will!
if i had to do it all over again, it would be with music.
there is nothing more exciting to me than to be able to make it and be a part of it.

i took some hand drumming lessons a while ago (easier for me to get into as i am so bad with music notes, piano, guitar, etc., just three left thumbs i am) and it was such a Thrill! felt like a kid again. i loved it and am thinking of getting back into it. have collected lots of prcussion stuff from that time so I will hopefully be dusting them off again and start making noise once more.

Pretty good set list. I'm sure you'll do fine. You are a fellow Blues guy after all. And "Hey Hey Da Blues is All Right". Love Blues musicians. Keepin' it alive!

That means a lot to me. Rock music trends come and go, but the Blues is always there.

15. Update on the gig...
Just wanted to let you all know that the gig went very well. Everyone had a great time, lots of dancing (always a good sign!) and nobody got wasted and fell into the drum kit (also a good sign). I hit all my notes singing AND remembered all the words! So, all in all, it was a fun time, and I appreciate the encouragement I received here. :hi:

We did the gig last night. I just kicked the thread to update. Went really well.

"My Next Ex-Wife" cooks! I dig all of the Night Cats stuff. Rick Estrin has the coolest voice, and what a harp player!:hi:
