5. My dear blueraven...
It's OK, really...

Nothing to be sorry about.

Nothing can be done.

We just have to carry on...

That's what he would have wanted, after all...

Thank you...

6. I know
but it's still tough. Particularly when you are dealing with emotions about people who are so far away geographically. (I hope that makes sense.)

7. It does make sense...
He was geographically far away from me...

Yet we were very close emotionally...

The distance didn't matter, not one little bit...

And of course it's tough.

I cry every day...

I'm talking to his mom, and we are becoming friends...

Thank you, sweetie...

4. This is really strange...
Normally I care intensely that my threads do well...

But tonight?

I just don't care, really...

I just wanted to get my feelings out in the open, and have all of you see...

I needed to be seen...

11. No one should ever take life for granted.
As clichéd as it is, we should live life to the fullest because you just never know.

18. How right you are, my dear primate1...
But we do take it for granted...

Until something like this happens...

It's a rather brutal course correction...

Thank you, sweetie...

12. My dear Peggy
If Khash were here he would have some words of wisdom or comfort for you. I have these, courtesy of The Swinging Steaks:

Another year is past.
Each one goes a little quicker than the last.
And though we're talking every day,
The things that really matter
We don't get the chance to say.

The little things that drag you down,
They run your life in circles
And turn your head around.

Like a cold slap in the face
Death is there to remind us
There's no winners in the race.

So if you go before me
and we don't get the chance to say good bye
I'll be coming right behind you
So meet me on the south side of the sky.

 I am so glad that you remembered to say I love you to each other.

20. My dear redwitch...
Oh, indeed he would...

That's the one thing that I miss, more than almost anything else...

He gave me perspective into whatever was troubling me.

I love your lyrics!

They are very helpful...

And I too am so very glad that we always remembered to say I love you to each other...

I remember we did on our last conversation...

Thank you so much...

19. I am sorry for your loss CP.
Edited on Sat Jul-19-08 11:51 AM by In_Transit
One time a long time ago, someone asked me what was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I thought about that for several days because it was something I had never considered. I finally realized what it was. It was losing a friend.

22. My dear In_Transit...
I definitely agree...

But I haven't lost a spouse, or a child...

Those would most likely be tougher...

But this is the biggest loss I have ever faced, and it hurts something awful...

Thank you for your very helpful thoughts, sweetie...

24. I can definitely understand this.
When we lose our dear friends we feel our mortality. :(

I go back and forth between celebrating the fact that I made it another year, and dreading the fact. How many more years do I want to keep enduring all of this pain?

It'll all sort it self out in time. I'm just here for the ride. In the meantime, I miss people we lost, and I try not to miss people who are still here.

I think Khash felt similarly, about the pain anyway...

He had bad MS, and the neuropathy was pretty awful. He had trouble with any kind of decent pain relief...

I try not to miss the people who are still here too...

Thank you, sweetie...

You are dear to me!

A close friend of my son was strangled to death by her boyfriend this AM.

She just turned 18 a month ago. 18.

My deepest condolences to your son, and to you and to all who knew and loved her...

39. I really appreciate that so much...
I've known him almost three years, and we were close...

He and I had made the connection from virtual friendship to real friendship...

Losing him has hurt more than I can adequately express.

Thank you, sweetie...
