During bowel resection surgery, on an healthy adult male, how many centimeters above and below the section of bowel to be removed should I make my incisions?
Also how much elasticity can I expect? Would a stretch factor of, say, 6 percent be out of the norm when resecting the severed ends?

And lastly, when anesthetizing the subject with xylazine how many milligrams per pound of body weight should be administered, how soon can I expect it to fully take effect and how long do I have for cutting before it wears off?

If there is any way to get your thoughts on this before 7:30 am tomorrow I would be grateful. TIA!
