Key visual elements of the film all appear to be true to the novel. (Although washed with an extra dark pallete..The scene of the Comedian and Dr. Manhattan in Viet Nam is a little too CGI/"300"-y looking.)

Remains to be seen if what was included/cut of the story works, or if the acting is up to par

I had to call my little geek brother to find out what it was about. But it looks like it is going to be a good movie.
