Meet my new dog, Sunny
sorry about not posting the pic... but you can see him here
http://radicalfringe.freeservers.com/favorite_links.html

Sunny is 4 years old this month. He's a rescued racing greyhound. His racing name is Waikiki Sunset - but answers to Sunny.
Previous adopted and returned because the owner is moving...

he stand about 30" at the shoulder, and is in need of fattening up

our other dog is adapting better than expected to the new addition. The cats are rolling their eyes and basically staying out of the way. Sunny licked our oldest cat, the cat just made a face, yawned and meandered out of the room

so far so good

1. Greyhounds are supposed to be skinny...
Of course, not emaciated, just normally skinny. They need lots of exercise. A friend of mine has a tread mill...they run together on it...it's hilarious to watch.

3. I'm so happy for you and Sunny...
I think it's sad when a previously adopted animal is returned, for any reason. I hope you'll have him in your life for the long run. He looks like a sweetie--I love the little pink spot at the beginning of his nose.

8. Congrats! I LOVE greyhounds!!
I had a friend with a rescued Greyhound. What a sweetheart! They're like small deers.. love to sit on couches. Suprisingly, their needs are different than most people expect. I researched them before getting my dogs. Greyhounds need exercise, but are not the type of dogs to leave in a yard to play. They need their bursts of running.. but outside of that, they prefer to be very very large lap dogs. They are actually suitable to homes without large property, if you make a committment to take them where they can really crank up the run a few times a day. I remember the dog I met running by me, and it felt like a car passing me by. Fast! What a sweetie he was.

Lucky you!!
