What movie should I go see this weekend?
My wife and I and another couple are babysitting for each other long enough to go to a movie...or something

About 3 hours

They are going to see the Batman movie. I don't know if I want to spend 2:30 in a PACKED dark room watching a dark movie.

My wife is a huge Indie Jones movie...eh I am not so much and I haven't heard anything great about that one

suggestions?

1. I was going to say wall-e
but if you're going to escape kids, that might not be a good idea.

Is Hancock out yet?

2. Yeah Hancock is out
Will Smith makes some short movie (in this day and age especially)

I am Legend was only 1:40 and Hancock is a flat 90 minutes

this may be part of the "get 'em in and get' em out" idea= ticket sales.

4. Hancock is worth it, I've seen it twice
It is outperforming Hellboy II on a daily basis after 3 weeks.

6. Your wife distorted her body for 9 months to carry your child
Take her to see Indiana Jones.

I will probably see Batman but in a few weeks when the theater is not packed

8. Looking like it is Hancock
we have free tickets (hospital nearby guarantees being seen within 30 minutes-they sent these to us after a visit for Josie) plus at 90 minutes we can go out to dinner too or maybe sneak into another theater :-)

7. "The Dark Knight"
I think it looks awesome. I know, I know, you don't want to see it but that's still my suggestion! :P ;) :)

9. Hellboy 2.
If you enjoyed the first one, you may (as I did) like the sequel even more. If you dug the director's Pan's Labyrinth, you'll recognize some of the gorgeous style of Golden Army. It was surprisingly romantic for a film about things blowing up, with two good romances presented. Non-gratuitous Barry Manilow, and a beautiful original score.

11. If you don't want to see Dark Knight
I would go see Mamma Mia. It wont be nearly as crowded as the Dark Knight and received good reviews from the critics.

12. There are no laughs in that movie
If I were Idi Amin, and I had just watched the movie, everyone involved in it would be massacred underneath the football stadium.

13. I'd opt for the "or something"

just saying :)

SERIOUSLY though.

I do hope you and your wife have a very nice time out together. I think exchange babysitting is a great idea.
