2. Heh, Martin Mull still does the show!
And does anyone know who Yvonne Elliman is? I'm too lazy to google it.

5. A singer, actually
Try Yvonne Ellman... (what the hell, no one said you had to spell correctly to get a gig on network TV!)...

8. Yvonne Elliman played Mary Magdalene (sp?) in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR...
...and in 1978, she had a #1 hit with her disco recording, "If I Can't Have You."

If I can't have you,
I don't want nobody, baby.
If I can't have you.
Uh-huh-huh!

4. OMG! I remember ALL of them!
Clap for the Wolfman!
He gonna rate your record high!
Clap for the Wolfman!
You gonna dig him 'til the day you die!

I'm doomed.

6. I'd put Hollywood Squares *ahem* squarely in the realm of
Baby Boomers, not Gen Xers. Especially with the group of celebs in that picture. But that's just me... :)

9. Well, I was born in 1966...
...and I vividly remember all of those celebrities from my childhood. And I'm quite sure "Hollywood Squares" was still being produced as late as 1977 or '78.

Tell you what, though: we'll divvy the show up between our respective generations! Fair enough? :hi:

10. I hate to break this to you, but I think you ARE a boomer!!
I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing once that the Baby Boomer generation includes those born between 1946-1966. Either way, you are on the cusp!

Now that I think about it, I remember watching this in the 60's, and the guests then were Paul Lynde, Charlie Weaver, Wally Cox, George Gobel, Rosemarie, etc. I think your picture really is more of a Gen X celeb list!

:) :hi:

7. Didn't George Gobel kill himself?
Or was that someone else?

Probably anyone who's been on that show at least CONSIDERED it.

11. No, I don't think so.
You may be thinking of Wally Cox. There was a rumor that he killed himself, but I don't know how accurate it was.
