Post a weird vacation photo
Edited on Sun Jul-13-08 12:47 PM by bob_weaver
Not necessarily a photo you took, although it could be.
Or it could be something you find on the web... just a weird vacation picture or weird idea for a vacation. For example:

5. Thanks - I wish I had a picture, but I was driving on that same road
in 1978, and we passed this huge machine that was driving slowly, and resurfacing the roadway by melting it. There were flames on the bottom of this vehicle, all around it. I guess instead of pouring more asphalt they simply melted it in place and then ran a steamroller over it. I've never forgotten that, even though I only saw it for a few seconds 30 years ago.

6. I don't know about weird, but on our vacation to Manhattan......
we slipped across the bridge to New Jersey and stopped
by this site to pay our respects to someone we admired very much and
play him a song.

Really was cool to see 'em all reading during the trip. Your daughter is welcome to join them if you ever make it out this way!:hi:

Love your roadside art pics. Here's a "Muffler Man" in his second life from my area.

21. Here's a picture I took from the top of a tour bus in Times Square
It's a giant bust of Eddie Murphy advertising his new movie, Meet Dave. I was going to go back and get a better picture but I ran out of time.

Here's a better view of it:

Looks like Eddie made another stinker. Like your avatar by the way, I'm reading Einstein's biography right now. Fascinating stuff!

35. Thanks
A good book that explains Einstein's theories briefly and clearly is "The Universe and Dr. Einstein" by Lincoln Barnett.

I saw an interview with Eddie Murphy and he said he thinks this is his final movie.
