Sex and the City nears its climax

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3510949.stm

I thought it was funny that that is the actual headline on the BBC.

Sex and the City nears its climax

"...During its six-year run Sex and the City won six Emmy awards and eight Golden Globes.
The final episode will be followed by an hour-long documentary celebrating the show's success.

Its frank treatment of sexual issues has given the show an international following, with Carrie asking in the first episode, "Can women have sex like men?"...

I think I have watched a grand total of two episodes, maybe I should buy the dvd set?

10. I watched two episodes at my mum's house
I thought it was crap; what a bunch of skanky women.

2. Nor have I ever watched it.
It's sometimes a little scary how watching almost no commercial TV makes it difficult to have conversations with some people.

3. It's my favorite...
It's more about independent women and their relationships than it is about sex. It's won so many awards because it both funny and meaningful. I will miss it.

4. I'll be watching! The set-up from last week seems too obvious an ending.
Anybody know if Six Feet Under is coming back for another season. Those are the only 2 shows I watch.

5. I agree - I think she will not
choose either Big or Mikhail - but New York City as her love that she just cannot live without.

8. Re: Six Feet Under
I think reruns start next week and the new season starts after that.

I saw a promo for it last night.

9. I'll miss the ladies
It's invigorating at times, shallow at other times. But it's entertaining.

They've grown a lot.

I hope I'm not disappointed in the ending. I'm afraid it will be hokey.

11. I'll miss it, too, and once it's over, bye-bye HBO
The show was definitely entertaining & while it certainly doesn't mirror my former NYC existence, it's always fun to see the city portrayed well in movies and TV shows.

I hardly watch TV at all, only that and perhaps Sci-Fi so once it's gone, I'll cancel my HBO. I'll miss the occasional movie they produce like "My House in Umbria" but pfah on Sopranos, Six Feet Under... never got into those. The only time I ever watched Sopranos was when a friend of mine was on (the red headed Russian woman).

14. I've been a faithful fan since day one
and I've loved Sex in the City. The writing was incredible. It's been one of my favorite shows EVER. As far as Six Feet Under goes, the 4th season starts on 6/6/04.

Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 01:09 PM by Baclava
But it went downhill after they screwed all the losers and moved on
to the rich guys...
(of course, they all look like they're 50 too- yuk)
