I just got back from seeing WALL-E. Holy crap, it was amazing.
Not only was it the best of Pixar's movies, but it was one of the best movies I've seen in recent memory, if not ever. It immediately made it into my top 10 almost effortlessly.
It looks beautiful, it tells a beautifully sweet love story, and does it all with hardly any dialogue. The main characters convey emotions through their eyes, and it is absolutely endearing. It also makes some interesting commentary about humanity, big business, and the environment.
If you haven't seen it yet, by all means, do so. I can't conceive of how you would be disappointed by it.
It made me teary eyed at a couple points, which only a handful of movies have managed to do. And EVE was just about the most endearingly violent little thing ever.
Anyway, yeah. It's good. See it. Trust me. :hi:

2. As one of the film critics said...you'd have to be a machine for it to not melt your heart.

8. I've seen it, and I'm going to see it twice more.
OK, maybe not twice, but I will be seeing it again. It's an endearing story, with great characters, a fantastic message, warnings about our own future, and plenty of humor, along with the references to other movies.

Not only am I going to see it again, it will probably be the reason that I get a Blu-Ray player when the movie finally gets released to video.

There was heavy Apple (the iEverything company) influence in this movie, and being a Mac-head, I loved it. EVE is clearly an Apple product, in fact Johnathan Ive, Apple's SVP of Industrial Design was consulted on her. Particularly fun was the "bong" that Wall-E produced when he was fully charged, it's the Mac's startup chime.
