I went to the feed store to pick up 3 bags of layer mash and came home with
a new kitten!


and a rose bush!


and a hen has hatched two chicks: one black and one yellow!

a gray top coat - very unusual.

Layer mash- chicken feed - ground corn and vitamins mostly, I think.

The kitten's name is subject to change - my two at home daughters have gone through about 23 already trying to get the perfect one!

Sapa is having a grand time sleeping in his basket. He is ignoring the new comer.

I will let the mother hen take care of the chicks. She's still sitting on some eggs, so there may be more chicks by morning.

Oh - and a pinky-yellow Morden Sunset.
