1. Wow!
Yes, I suspect quite a few "soiled" seats on that plane.

3. No, I searched, but couldn't find any
What was unsettling was the laughter. I couldn't laugh watching that.

5. Ugh...reminds me of a flight into Cleveland during a horrible snowstorm
The pilot got us down on the second try (they waved off the first attempt). Everyone in the cabin burst into applause when we landed. Beautiful job by the captain.

11. I went through that some years back. I thought the plane was never going
to stop. It seemed like we rolled down that runaway forever. When I mentioned it to my Dad, he said that runway points out over Lake Erie!

6. Passenger to pilot:
"Sonny, was that a landing or were we shot down?"

7. I'm surprised the front gear survived!
It almost has a quality of being CGI it looks so odd. Or that most of us have never seen a plane land so badly and not end up in pieces :o

8. I actually think is is CGI.
Moves wrong. I'd think that plane should be in pieces.

9. I tend to agree.
It's bouncing too fast for such a large craft. That and the sound seems to be too well matched to the impacts. There should be a little bit of a delay.

10. Planes are pretty light
I think we expect something big and metal to be heavier.

Like the water bomber that's been at Shasta Lake... it's HUGE... like 747 HUGE... and yet it's just floating like a cork on the surface of the lake.

14. I know they're light
which is why I question the truth to that video. It shouldn't be coming down on the front gear quite that fast and so many times. More like a slow-motion hard-landing ;)

But, I'm not a pilot, so anyone that's a professional passenger-jet pilot can chime in at any time and set us all straight! :P

15. lol!
:D

A good friend of mine is a pilot for SW and once told me that the "last words" most often heard on flight data recorders after crash-recovery were "Oh shit!" :o
