K++ question
I'll sometimes use K++ though I don't download big name hollywood movies or hardly any music...

I've noticed that when I do use K++, eventually all internet traffic stops and I can't even connect to the DSL gateway's IP address. The modem locks up.

Whe I power it off and on, I can use K++ for a random period of time before it freezes again.

I think there've been a couple of occasions where I get kicked out of Unreal Tournament's internet gaming feature too...

Could the modem be bad or is K++ using too much bandwidth and as a result my connection gets closed? (which is silly, Unreal tournament uses ther same bandwidth but more intensively as K++ is dependent on the PC I'm connecting to, which is usally 56k-like speed...)

1. Use WinMX. I switched to it from KazaaLite.
No bother on my internet connection whatsoever.

2. It easts your bandwith..
... unless you specify a download rate limit. I've been there, done that. Couldn't even load a very simple page (no images, not much text).

4. If you have K++ installed..
You should

#1 Uninstall K++ IMMEDIATELY...

#2 Download the free program Adaware, and run it, thereby cleaning out all the VIRUSES (as far as I'm concerned) installed by Kazaa..

3# Install K-Lite.... hard to get lately but I can help you if you cant find it...

the regular Kazaa is BAD news... the reason why it's eating up so much bandwidth is because your computer is SERVING SPAM to other computers.. (seriously)

Hope this helps,

-Heyo

5. This isn't the regular kazaa
K++ is a modified version, w/out spyware, and keeps the 'share level' up at 1000 so I don't need to share files. Not like I have enough to share in the first place (I don't)... I do appreciate the advice; I ran adaware 2 days ago...
