Best TV Series Finale?
Edited on Tue Jul-08-08 10:35 AM by PeterU
That's a hard one. I think both the Seinfeld and Sopranos finales were not nearly as bad as some people claim, but I wouldn't say they were the best.

The Wire had a good ending, but not a great one. The last season's main storyline was a little bit of a stretch of the imagination (albiet still great acting on all parts), which was rare for the series.

I did like Arrested Development's ending. It basically tied up all the loose ends for a series that was cancelled before it should have been.

31. I'm not sure if that was the best series-ending EPISODE...
...but it was certainly the best series-ending final five minutes.

5. West Wing
Bartlet moves on and we get curtian calls for all the main staff. Incoming President Santos arrives and we see old staff in newer, better positions. All storylines wrapped up and yet you know that life continues in the west wing universe.

20. It's okay. I remember that one, too.
And I remember liking it.

Something about Picard in the past, present and future trying to fight against this threatening anomaly, or something of that nature. And Q was involved in some manner or another.

Oh well. It was good from what I recall of it.

21. I thought the Seinfeld ending was great.
It basically said to everyone who hated the show because it thought the characters were shitty people, "You're right, that's the whole point."

25. First is "Six Feet Under" and second was "Sex and the City"
anyone want to take a bet that PeterU will reply to this post with a snarky comment? And one wonders why he is a tool :eyes:

"Six Feet Under" because it ended the show with how it started - with death. Every character was killed off in the end, but thru natural processes. All with Sia's "Breathe" playing in the background while Claire drives her Prius cross-country to start her new beginning in New York City.

Second would be "Sex and the City". There was no way that they could leave the girls divided and have Carrie end up with that arrogant selfish Russian. You knew Big would be the Prince on the White House and he was. And the girls all ended up together!

26. WINGS...
Here's why....

In the finale, Joe does a very
unselfish thing...

He quits the job, the business he founded, the business
he loves so that his wife Helen can pursue her dream.

The two of them move to Ireland so Helen can play
cello in a prestigious symphony orchestra.

I thought that was more than sweet..

Tikki
