It was huge, must have weighted in at 20 to 25 lbs, to bad we can't eat them.

Well, it went back the bayou to make more catfish.

Nothing like a day of fishing to relax.

1. My dear texanwitch!
Oh, good for you!

How come you can't eat them?

Are they protected?

Too bad you didn't have your camera!

2. Our Buffalo Bayou was used a sewer for years, not any longer.
The water is much cleaner now, in many places it is clear.

The fish look OK but I wouldn't want to eat one.

I wouldn't eat a fish from Lake Houston either.

Buffalo Bayou has not be cemented like most our bayous, it is natural with lots of wildlife.

When the water is high enough, it is fun to take canoe ride.

Wouldn't even know you were in a big city, it is very quiet and peaceful.

3. That sounds like a very good reason to not eat the fish!
But what a wonderful resource for you so close to the city like that...

4. It is a shame the bayou was so mistreated years ago.
It is still beautiful.
