Mainly because I can leave them at home when I'm at work all day without any trouble. Dogs are too high maintenance.

Course I like just about any animal. My sister told me my mother said I even had a wild field mouse as a pet when I was a kid. I remember it faintly.

Was raised with two cats, but my flatulent, loving Boxer changed me from a cat to a dog person in about two months. I must say that cats are cooler, though. They don't need a human around to entertain them. Most dogs are up your ass all day long.
