I am thinking of getting this pup....
Edited on Sun Jul-06-08 08:27 PM by malta blue

I submitted an application to adopt the chocolate rat terrier above who is called "Mickey"

He even has his own video:
http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2339743/7332308

With Luna being gone, I have been feeling so lonely, and my little Egypt rat terrier REALLY needs a buddy - SO....

He is currently "not available" but I do have contact with his foster mom on another forum that I post on, and she told me to complete the app and she would keep us at the forefront as soon as he comes available. Plus, I think she likes that fact that I live about 10 minutes from her so she can keep an eye on him...

Wish us luck.....

He looks like a real sweetheart!

One thing impressive about the Internet is that it sure seems to make more matches between people and furbabies in need of a forever home. I so hope this works out for you!!

24. Terrific, my friend! What great news!
And that's the best option, having them meet first, since you want to make sure they're compatible. Though it did take Meneken awhile to warm up to Sara, but she was very good with him, so I didn't worry... much, LOL. Also, my friend in rescue, who's placed two dogs with me, said they should meet on "neutral ground," so neither dog feels territorial. The best of luck and congratulations!:toast:

25. Thanks Rhi.
I will talk to her tonight about the meeting place.

He is apparently very sweet, but gets a little freaked by t-storms. So I have to see if he needs meds to deal with it, etc.

Thank you for all you support :pals:

27. You're welcome, my friend. He is so adorable, with such a sad little face...
I hope so much that this works out for all of you. When I've adopted dogs, I ran it by my vet and he says that male-female is the most compatible combination, but it depends on the dog. Also, it can depend on who's looking for a leader and also a friend...:D

And I sure can sympathize with the thunderstorm phobia. My Cairn Terrier used to freak out, was inconsolable even if it was just raining. *sigh* Charlie's not quite as bad, but he often hides in the bathtub... x(

Checking on meds is a very good idea. :-)

He sure does have a face deserving of rescue.

Hard part is the woman who rescued Egypt just pulled 10 dogs and sent me pics of them - told me I don't need to go through all the hoops and of course, I could have my pick. But none of them have a face like this one..... :dilemma:

He just melted my heart with his beautiful blue eyes and his hard luck story.

I'm sure both Egypt and Mickey will be happy to have a playmate.
