You know if the did something with their hair and wore some make-up maybe they wouldn't have so many problems. .. . . . . . . . . . Sorry I just channeled my mother there for a second.
This is a really incredible story. I don't know how much of it is concretely true but if it is only gleamed from facts I am extremely impressed with what they did. They really were the start of the civil rights movement in this country, to my eye.
Interesting conversation at one point of the movie (something like)
"We should picket the President (Wilson)" "We can't picket a wartime President....borders on treason" "It is not treason to protest....it is patriotic"
BTW (SPOILER of sorts follows) . . . . . The force feeding was, well, I don't know how to describe it. "Over the top" "Incredible" "Horrifying" really don't cover it.
I just refered to it in my last post. It is a movie that should be a requirment for EVERY GIRL before graduating high school. It would have so much more impact than "Girls now that you are growing up your bodies are changing".
Seriously it inspired me to vote (even if I wasn't out to preven George Bush from being reappointed).
