Finally...it's Saturday.
It's been a long week. What's everyone doing this weekend?

Lelapin went to see this Zombie guy, so I have the place to myself. I have to go to the office for a few hours, run some errands and get groceries.

Then I can crash and practice being a slug for the rest of the weekend. :)

5. Hi, lizziegrace! *smack* Tonight it's about 5 innings of a Blue Crabs game
which I must leave early to go to hospital for a second sleep study (this one w/ the CPAP). But first, shopping and the gym. Tomorrow laundry, the gym, and the Blue Crabs game.

6. TGIS!!!!
Been on the road for 8 days (OK, one of them was visiting my son for his birthday), got back from Mexico City yesterday. Busy agenda:

Mineral rights neighborhood meeting this morning

Gift shopping for friends kids

Hazardous waste drop off is today

Concert with friends tonight. Hootie & Blowfish. Don't laugh - they were free tickets from my daughter (she works at a radio station in the summer). Besides, they're using the concert to collect school supplies for low income families.

8. Sounds like a plan
I've always like Hootie and the Blowfish. And the fact that it's for a good cause is even better.

Have fun!

9. My dear lizziegrace!
Sounds like a great day for you!

Eventually I will haul this aging body off to the gym...

I need to shop for dinner too...

Bills to pay, sigh...

And tomorrow?

No plans as yet...

My poetry well is pretty dry, so I'm trying to coax the words out...

Thank God nobody has to see this stuff!

Have a great weekend, sweetie!

10. Enjoy the quiet when you get back from the office!
Make yourself a nice dinner, hope for some distant thunder to listen to, mmmm.

I need to start finishing up a project on the house, redecking the front porch. It's been three weeks now since I opened it up and looked around, and all the messy work is finally done. It's amazing what kind of rubbish and debris accumulates under a porch over a hundred years.

Tonight, I'm hoping for some rain here. Despite how much there's been back your way, we're parched and thirsty here.

We'd sit on the balcony and watch the storms roll in.

100 years? Yeah, I'd say there'd be some debris. ;)

11. Trying to enjoy the last weekend of my vacation
Before going back to work on Monday (after 7 days off). I've been to the gym and off to IKEA in a few minutes; I desperately need to work in the yard but it's been too wet. We are getting the same kind of weather you are; steamy and rainy every day.

Is the couch still stuck in the stairwell?

15. hehe...
not anymore. Dangerously Amused and her guy, along with Lelapin, me and a heft dose of stubborness got that sofa in my living room. Okay, so we gouged the wall a bit... ;)

I'm never moving. I won't be able to get the sofa out again. :(

Can't wait to meet you when the baby comes.

25. I'm back
Put the sunscreen on. I saw two pileated wooodpeckers which is the bird I mainly wanted to see and I water skied for the first time in twenty years. Good day it was, but now I am terribly sore.

I really, really, REALLY suck at bowling; but the point is to have fun, not who has the best score. ;)

19. Stayed up until 2:30 AM studying--Got up at 5AM
at 6 AM drove over an hour to Fresno area to take another state-mandated teacher test--had to be there before 7:30

Took the test--aced it!

Drove home

Had lunch

Took a nap

Am planning on swimming later this afternoon

Am probably going to start some sort of art project tonight or tomorrow

Relaxin', staying out of the smoky haze as much as possible
It's drifted down into the valley here from the Northern Cal area..looks more like a foggy day haze here..gray, limited visibility

Am soooooooooooo glad you are moved in and happy, lizziegrace! :loveya: :hi:

20. Rob Zombie?
I went to a local alt radio show last night and saw the old 97s - and the husband and I had lunch out and dinner out alone the previous night, since the kiddo was at camp.

Today tai-chi class and some mah-jongg with my female compadres....

slug sounds good!

26. Catching up on household stuff, went to a "Pearl Party" which was
kind of different. Laundry day tomorrow, and I hope it's sunny and nice...today has been really pretty gloomy.
Oh well! When it's rainy, at least it forces me to stay in and get some cleaning done!
