Kid just got home from a woods survival camp - tell me about your camp
Experiences...

He reeks of woodsmoke... they learned how to make shelters with branches and vines, and how to build fires without matches...
He thought it was pretty cool, considering he was refusing to go when I initially brought it up...

Tomorrow they will learn to eat various edible plants found in the woods...

Made me miss my camp experiences... I remember learning to dig a latrine pit, cook n a can, crick-wade, pitch a tent, make those lanyards and wooden macaroni-badges - all at various Girl Scout Camps.

Nowadays a lot of kids hate to even go outside! So I thought this would be a good way to combat that.
