I have a phone interview at 3.
Bastards emailed me at 10:30am to let me know and I just got it. Can I get some vibes? I'm usually a skeptic but any port in a storm. I want to be a former coffeemaker ASAP. I should do fine as I'm super-overqualified but I tend to be terrible on the phone for some reason and interview badly to boot.

3. It's an NPO/ Progressive think tank.
and I know quite a bit about them...the problem is that I applied for a field organizing position in NYC and I think they're interested in me for a senior position in Denver which is a much better fit for my skills...but is in Denver.

2. Good luck! And, here's what I do for phone interviews...
Edited on Mon Jun-23-08 01:23 PM by Whoa_Nelly
Have info about the employer/business printed out and in front of me
Have resume and all other pertinent documents at hand
And, after doing a read on the employer, make sure I have something great to say about the place using that beforehand knowledge, as well as having a qestion to ask them!
(Example: What do you enjoy most about working for XXXX?)

Go online before th interview, if you can, and printout phone interview tips.
There are also sites that offer the most commonly asked questions, so it can help you be prepared with answers.

Good Luck!!!!! :hi: :pals:

on edit:
Don't forget that follow-up personal thank you card ;)

7. PM sent.
What do you do in the NP sector? I know you work from home, but that's about it. I aspire to work in development, I did development in an AmeriCorps position years ago and loved it.

6. Thank you Peggy!
It was interesting...they want me to come to a second interview but I'm unsure of them. I'm probably going to the second interview but I may decline the job if I don't like what I hear in that interview.
