307. It's a Vandoren Jumbo Java model

For a few years, they were making them in purple only. Nice, bright & ballsy mouthpiece without the "tinny-ness" of a metal ones. I've only met a few other sax-guys who like metal MPs on their altos.

On tenor, I use a few different ones, all metal. My current favorite is the stainless steel Rovner "Deep V" model. Not exactly the sound I love the best, but it plays well on every reed I slap on, without having to doctor it with a reed knife.

Mark VI??? If so, you lucky bastard...B-) I have an SA80 with a Rousseau jazz mouthpiece. I also have a tenor with a Link metal mounthpiece. I forget the model, but it is similar to what Dexter Gordon played, and it gave me an awesome jazz tone when I played it...

Although we did rent some horses and go riding around the hills. They weren't very well trained unfortunately.

The funny thing is there were 3 couples and all three women went riding while the guys stayed home and drank. Well, I was the best rider (I am from Kentucky, I grew up in the saddle), and one of the other women was pretty good too. The third woman claimed to know how to ride but clearly didn't. She let her horse take off with her and by the time we caught up with her, she was on the ground and the horse was nowhere to be found. We never would have been allowed to take off with strange horses in a strange place without a guide in the US! Actually it was really fun.

don't see many short sleeved cardigans, but it was perfect for the climate there. I designed it and several other sweaters. Asmara Sweaterworks did the knitting. Their wool sweaters were superb.
