New reason I hope I get the new job

There is this woman, who has brought in a copy of our paper marked with what she considers mistakes. Half of what she consides mistakes are not, she doesn't know Canadian Press Style which is how we are trained to write. It really pisses me off :mad: . I don't care if she brings in a normal mistake or typo, but when she brings in shit circled that is correct it turns my turd.

Anyway, if I get this new job, she is getting a rude letter.

1. Is she using American English per chance?

I know they write in the Olde English up there.

2. SHe's using essay english

For instance everytime I don't use the word "that" like I was trained to not use. She circles. I wrote "38 million" which is proper Canadian Press style and she circled it.

Didn't know there was one! The paper I write for is AP style. I have a Chicago Style book, too....Canadian style is a new one on me. How is it different than AP? (or is that different "from"?)

BTW, I hope you get the new job, too, but not so you can write the lady a nasty letter. I want you to get it because you seem to want it quite a bit.
