4. Our air is on too.
It is, at least, only 84 in the upstairs of our house. It is 80 downstairs (that is where the thermostat is).

7. i'm not even going upstairs for at least another hour, it's wicked stuffy up there.
i finally put set the temp to 79 about 20 minutes ago so it's going to take another hour to actually cool down enough to stay up there.

9. I expect this in August
We had one of these in March, we had one in April, we had one in May (I got to go to the mountains to escape most of that one) and we are having one now.

It is killin' me.

So far my daughter is actually weathering our piss poor air quality much better than I am, and that is unusual.

14. They stopped the perks on those in SF
a couple months ago. No more free Muni rides or anything — gas costs too much.

Now you're just not supposed to drive if at all possible.

And yes, the a/c did run all night long.

Now, at 6:46 am, it's "only" 75. We'll ignore that it's usually 15 degrees cooler than that at this hour.

32. 79 degrees at 8 AM!
man oh man is going to be hot as bawls today......... Usually the key is to add 20 degrees to the 10 AM temp to find the days high but that might work out to the temp on the sun if it goes that way today.....

34. I had to run my AC almost all night last night
and I never do that. I went out at 10 AM--I live in downtown LA--and I had to hide in the shade the whole time because the sun is so hot. Yesterday I was walking around little Tokyo for maybe 45 minutes and I got the beginnings of a sunburn.

And to top it off, my apartment building is recently-converted, so there are kinks in it. Like the fact that my AC works great, but the unit leaks all over my carpets, so the hallway to my bedroom was littered with pots last night to catch the water, which seems to be better than getting the carpet soaked AGAIN. At least I have AC, though. That hasn't always been the case.

In the direct sunshine, of course, it's a lot hotter.

43. We survived the whole weekend without air conditioning...
Friday we drove to La Jolla, which was hot (surprising) and humid (not surprising). Saturday we drove to Mt. Laguna and Julian, which were hot but very dry so not all that uncomfortable. The drive back home was murderously hot, especially through Lakeside and El Cajon. (The air conditioning in my car is broken). Today slightly cooler, but still very hot at mass in Mission San Diego. Somehow we survived but it was rough on my 89-year-old mother. About 80 now here in San Diego.
