Anyone know of a decent web page editor for Mac OS9?
I've been using Dreamweaver on a PC, but it's getting to be a real pain in the ass to drag everything home to my ancient PC, assemble it, and bring it back to the office to publish. I've convinced the boss to buy a program, but the program we were looking at - Macromedia's Contribute - is for OS X only.

I should specify - I'm looking for a WYSIWYG editor, not a code-level. I can't hand code anymore - I've gotten fat and lazy.

Thanks in advance.

1. Adobe GoLive
is the only other WYSIWYG editor of any merit for either Mac or PC (frontpage is PC only and sucks big time). Unfortunately with the introduction of GoLive CS, it too is now Mac OS X only. If you can find a copy of version 6 (there is a good chance there are still copies on shelves at most major retain outlets), there is little difference between it and the new CS version. In fact, there has been major complaints from Adobe users that the entire CS suite of tools offers little in the way of improved features from the previous releases of these tools and hardly merits the cost of the upgrades.

There are other tools, but most are not full featured.

I would recommend moving to OS X even if it requires a move to new hardware (find a used first generation G4). Your life will be better in the long run and most OS 9 software (unless its really old) runs fine in classic mode.

2. Older Dreamweaver for Mac or Older Adobe GoLive (check ebay)
but go to Panther if you can. . .I know you are fat and lazy (LOL), but let me tell you once you have made the change you will wonder why you wasted your time all that time futzing w OS 9. If you don't have the hardware, OS 9 is cool. . .but I have had decent luck w OS X on 350mhz g3 imacs and up. Spring for at least 512 of ram and you are good to go.
