Just took BoyMidlo out driving for the first time.
He did pretty well, actually. My car is in one piece and he listened pretty attentively when I was explaining various things. I think he'll end up being a pretty decent driver.

(unlike his sister.... :scared: )

3. Parking lot at the high school for an hour and then we grabbed
a sandwich and I let him drive home. He's got the peripheral vision thing down pretty well. At first, he was using his left foot, but I think he's over that now.

Neither one of the teens knows how to drive a manual; gotta rent one to teach them. I think it is really important to know how to drive one.

4. i bet he was pretty happy to be able to drive home.
my daughter isn't quite 14 yet but she's got this fear of driving the stick shift, she has no confidence so i'm trying to get her used to it slowly.

6. Thrilled. He's over his initial trepidation.
I'm making him learn on the van because it's so much easier to drive a small car when you've been driving a big car. He'll drive TM's car when he gets his license.

7. Just turned 16. He didn't have a chance to go to the DMV prior to
yesterday to get it because of sports. And, bad mom that I am, there was NO WAY I was going to go to the DMV on a Saturday. He didn't want to either. Preferred to go lift weights. :eyes:
