Ok I'm back...

It's been a while, and I know I swore I was leaving for good, and I did in a matter befitting an angry 5 year old, but I'm back.

First of all, I did look at the comments on my last OP here, and I would like to apologize to everyone in the Lounge, and DU as a whole. I was out of line, frustrated, aggravated, and worn out. Mea culpa. I will try to be more respectful to everyone in the future.

It's been a crazy ass month or so, and a lot has gone on in my life. We lost the baby at the beginning of the month, and things have been sour since. I dunno.. it just sucks.

I'm pleased that Obama won the nomination, and he has seemed to avoid major controversy since, unlike McLame, who has a new gaffe nearly everyday (cookie-gate redux, anyone?). I'm glad we have united on Du for the most part, and I am excited for our chances this fall.

So yeah, I'm back, for a while anyway, if you all will have me. Hello again.

P.S. I know a lot of people on here didn't like Tim Russert, but I always thought he was a straight talker. Yeah, he had some rightward-leaning views sometimes, but I don't expect to agree with anyone all the time. He was an honest and decent man, and it is evident he touched everyone he met for the better. RIP, Russ.. Maybe you can sort out the election in Heaven for right arm man between Jesus, Muhammad, and the surging Arthur C Clarke.

I am sorry you've been having such a bad time - that kind of loss would be so very hard to handle, and it's no wonder you were upset and venting. I'm so sorry. :hug:

3. I never really know how she's doing..

she always keeps it bottled up inside, but I think it's pretty hard on her. Me, I have to find a way to verbalize my emotions, so I started writing a novel, kind of a tragedy on loss. We'll see where it takes me. Another bummer has been the goddamn IRS. I was expecting one of those stimulus checks, but I get to pay uncle sam, instead. Yay me. Oh well. I guess the one glimmer of hope I have right now is Sen. Obama's campaign. I finally understand the feeling of giving hope to the hopeless, because right now I don't really have a place in W's America.
